With a starting compensation rate of $21.13 per hour, this role offers a solid entry point into the vibrant world of hospitality, particularly for those aspiring to develop into bartenders. The Barback is responsible for maintaining a fully operational, clean, and stocked bar at all times, ensuring a smooth and seamless bar experience. The role also fosters professional growth, facilitating the development of key bartending skills, product knowledge of spirits, cocktails, beer, and wine, and service awareness.
As an integral part of the bar team, the Barback supports operational efficiency by managing inventory levels of liquor, beer, wine, ice, glassware, and garnishes. They perform essential opening and closing duties to guarantee the bar is ready for service and maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the bar area, including guest-facing spaces. The position calls for the ability to multitask, operate in a fast-paced environment, and contribute positively to guest interactions when appropriate. Furthermore, Barbacks are expected to adhere strictly to sanitation and safety protocols, uphold responsible alcohol service standards, and exhibit a polished and professional demeanor reflective of the resort's prestigious service environment.
