Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in barback or related role preferred
- ability to lift and carry heavy items
- ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- must adhere to Responsible Alcohol Standards
- must pass background screening if applicable
- strong physical stamina
- effective communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bar or food service environment preferred
- basic knowledge of beverage service and responsible alcohol handling
- ability to stand for extended periods
- strong teamwork and communication skills
- ability to follow instructions accurately
- attention to cleanliness and detail
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Duties
- Receives all liquor, beer and wine from storeroom and replenishes them in bar throughout shift
- retrieves all needed food items from kitchen and delivers to bar area
- retrieves all needed beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and delivers to bar area
- sets up bottles on bar with 'top shelf' liquor on back shelf
- adheres to all Responsible Alcohol Standards
- ensures beer taps are working properly
- places appropriate bar snacks on counter and keeps supplies stocked
- assists in opening and closing side work as assigned
- buses tables in bar area
- helps ensure cleanliness and tidiness of bar or lounge areas including washing work tables, walls, refrigerators and floors
- ensures rubbish is removed from all receptacles
- prepares and serves beverages as needed to assist bartender
- performs other duties as assigned
