Job Description

Headquartered in Chicago, IL, Puttshack USA opened its first location in 2021 as an upscale, tech-infused mini golf experience that appeals to all ages and demographics. As more than just an indoor mini golf venue, Puttshack integrates groundbreaking technology to elevate the traditional mini golf game, creating a unique, fun, and engaging experience that is complemented by world-class food and a full bar. Puttshack spaces are designed to deliver a cool, vibrant atmosphere that encourages groups to come together to enjoy an entertaining outing with friends, family, or colleagues. The company is deeply committed to creating one-of-a-kind guest experiences that make every visit special and memorable. Its venues are modern, lively, and designed for social interaction, making Puttshack a leader in the entertainment and hospitality sector.

The Barback position at Puttshack plays a vital supporting role within the venue’s dynamic hospitality team. Barbacks are essential in helping bartenders serve guests smoothly and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, organization, and stock throughout the bar, dining room, and service areas. This role demands a proactive and enthusiastic team member who can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, interactive environment. The barback assists with restocking beverages and glassware, cleaning spills and broken glasses promptly, prepping garnishes, and supporting the bartenders to ensure a seamless service flow. Flexibility and teamwork are key attributes, as schedules vary and peak business times can be demanding.

This is a variable schedule role, offering approximately 15 to 30 hours per week, typically with shifts falling between 11am and 1am, seven days a week. Puttshack values flexibility and strives to accommodate scheduling preferences when possible. The position offers competitive pay plus tips and a range of employment benefits aligned with their commitment to associate care. Benefits include health, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) matching, life insurance, paid time off (PTO), and associate discounts such as free mini golf access and 50% off meals. Puttshack fosters an inclusive workplace culture that celebrates diversity and is dedicated to equal opportunity employment practices, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all team members. This role is especially ideal for hospitality professionals or individuals passionate about guest services who thrive in busy, social environments and want to contribute to an innovative entertainment experience.
