Job Description
The Temecula/Vail Lake KOA is a premier outdoor campground destination nestled in the scenic surroundings of Southern California. Situated among a verdant grove of oak trees, this year-round park offers campers a unique experience close to the renowned Temecula wine country, the stunning Vail Lake, and an extensive network of mountain biking, horseback riding, and hiking trails. The KOA's mission centers on crafting memorable camping experiences by delivering outstanding customer service to every guest. As an establishment, it combines the natural beauty of its location with a commitment to service excellence, making it a beloved spot for families and adventurers seeking both relaxation and outdoor activities.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our food service bartending team. This role is integral to enhancing the guest experience within the park's vibrant social atmosphere. The position is part-time, requiring availability primarily from Thursday through Sunday and during holiday weekends, with shifts ranging from 8 am to 11 pm. Weekly hours vary between 6 and 18, dependent on camping occupancy levels. This role offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $16.90 plus tips and reports directly to the Food & Beverage Department Manager.
As a team member, you will perform a variety of tasks centered around customer service, beverage preparation, and overall bar management. Your duties will include preparing mixed drinks, serving tap and canned beverages, and supporting kitchen operations with snack and bar preparation. You will also handle cashier duties, process orders, and assist with inventory management, both perishable and non-perishable, on a weekly basis. Ensuring compliance with safety and health standards, including completing TIPS training for responsible alcohol service, is a key part of this role.
Flexibility is essential, as shifts are scheduled on an as-needed basis and may vary week to week. This role also requires proactive guest management skills to maintain a positive environment for all visitors and the ability to handle issue resolution in coordination with Guest Service staff. Physical requirements include being on your feet for the duration of the shift and the ability to lift items up to 30 lbs. Applicants should possess good communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The primary focus will be to float between bartending, bar backing, and operating the mobile beverage cart, particularly during peak weekend times.
Join us at Temecula/Vail Lake KOA and be a part of a dynamic team dedicated to creating lasting memories for families amidst the natural beauty of Southern California's outdoors. This role offers the perfect blend of customer interaction, outdoor work environment, and flexible scheduling, ideal for those who thrive in social settings and enjoy the rhythm of seasonal and event-driven hospitality work.
