Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2+ years experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food and beverage environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required
- Ability to handle cash responsibly and accurately
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- Must have excellent attendance and be available to work scheduled events
Job Qualifications
- 1-2+ years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in a food and beverage environment
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management, and guests
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Possess a valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
- Ability to calculate basic math functions relevant to POS transactions, cash reconciliation, and inventory
Job Duties
- Ensure proper setup of all bar locations prior to doors including verifying opening inventory, assigning duties to bartenders, ensuring sanitation standards are met, and verifying location operability
- Provide a high level of oversight and operational expertise for smooth, efficient, and profitable event execution
- Train new and current employees on property procedures and best practices
- Cover or back up any open position to maintain full operational status and standards of service speed and guest satisfaction
- Assist with Premium Services operations and event needs as directed
- Ensure a safe and harassment-free work environment
- Immediately address all safety concerns, potential hazards, accidents, or incidents and report to management
- Provide ongoing assistance, training, and mentoring to event staff
- Promote a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative workplace environment by working alongside staff
- Reinforce procedures and practices by leading through example and providing constructive feedback
- Obtain working knowledge of all bar locations including geography, equipment, evacuation procedures, and facility access
- Supervise the service of beverages including alcohol and ensure compliance with age verification laws
- Compute costs of sales, present checks to guests, accept payments, and provide change as necessary
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
- Recognize and manage guests who are visibly intoxicated by cutting off alcohol service
- Enforce all company policies and procedures
- Practice excellent HR skills in employee relations, corrective action, coaching, and counseling
- Assist management with projects including training, inventory, and special events
- Perform other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
