The Bar Supervisor role at Pacific Hospitality Group is a crucial leadership position within their Food & Beverage department. This role involves overseeing day-to-day bar operations, managing a team of bartenders and barbacks, and ensuring that exceptional service and beverage standards are consistently upheld. The Bar Supervisor is responsible for training staff to maintain high performance, managing inventory with an eye toward cost control and stock accuracy, and ensuring compliance with all local and state alcohol service regulations. Additionally, they work closely with Food & Beverage leadership to align bar service standards with overall business objectives and to implement new offerings such as promotions, events, and seasonal cocktail rollouts.

This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing guest satisfaction by engaging directly with customers, addressing any concerns promptly, and fostering a professional yet vibrant atmosphere behind the bar. The supervisor ensures that the bar area is kept clean and organized, adheres to sanitation, safety, and health regulations, and supports profitability across all bar-related operations. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of bartending experience combined with supervisory experience in an upscale hospitality environment. They should possess strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced setting while leading their team to deliver exceptional customer service. Certifications such as Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) and a Food Handler’s Card are required within the first 30 days of employment.

Job Duties

  • Supervise and schedule bar team members
  • coach, train, and support performance to meet guest expectations and operational standards
  • oversee bar operations including cleanliness, setup, inventory, and preparation of beverages in accordance with recipes and pour standards
  • monitor inventory, participate in monthly counts, and ensure accurate ordering and stock rotation
  • promote and ensure responsible alcohol service aligned with state and local guidelines
