The Cove is currently seeking Bar Staff members who can seamlessly integrate the roles of bartender, server, and barback. This triple-threat position requires individuals who are not only skilled in mixing drinks but also attentive to customer needs and capable of supporting behind-the-scenes operations. The role is seasonal, running from April through September, and demands a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Bar Staff at The Cove act as the lifeblood of the venue, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization, managing inventory, and ensuring a safe, enjoyable environment for guests.
In this role, Bar Staff members will develop meaningful connections with patrons, providing friendly and efficient service while promoting responsible drinking habits. The position includes setting up and closing the bar area daily, preparing and serving drinks and food orders, and maintaining communication with team members to synchronize operations during busy periods. Employees also assist with thorough weekly cleans and continuous sanitation efforts to uphold health and safety standards. Job Requirements
- have or obtain after hire TABC and Food Handlers certification
- be at least 18 years of age
- be able to bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods up to 8 hours
- be comfortable wearing a uniform designed for beach, pool, or outdoor activities
- be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- be able to work in the sun and heat for extended periods up to 8 hours

Job Duties
- setup and close bar area
- build relationships with guests
- take drink and food orders, prepare drinks, and close customer checks
- help guests pace themselves to avoid excessive intoxication
- keep bar and bathroom areas stocked, clean, and organized
- maintain proper inventory levels
- assist with weekly deep cleans and maintain high sanitation standards
- spot clean problem areas and remove trash from the venue
