Job Description

Bass Road Sports and Entertainment is a prominent organization that manages and operates sports and entertainment venues, focusing on delivering exceptional guest experiences through high-quality service and efficient event management. The company is dedicated to fostering inclusive work environments that champion professional growth, integrity, and teamwork. Known for hosting dynamic sporting events, concerts, and other large-scale entertainment offerings, Bass Road Sports and Entertainment places a strong emphasis on operational excellence and guest satisfaction throughout its venues.

We are currently seeking a part-time Bar Service Lead to join our team during Fort Wayne FC home matches and additional stadium events. This role is pivotal in overseeing bar operations across the stadium, ensuring that beverage service is delivered efficiently, compliantly, and with exceptional quality to enhance guest experiences. The Bar Service Lead will provide on-the-floor leadership to Bar Servers during events, ensuring proper workflow and station coverage. Working with moderate independence, this role requires making real-time decisions to maintain smooth bar operations during high-volume and fast-paced event settings.

The Bar Service Lead is the focal point for monitoring product quality and alcohol service compliance, verifying ID procedures to adhere strictly to Indiana state laws and stadium policies. This position supports the bar setup and breakdown process, including stocking beverages, preparing ice, and organizing supplies before opening. During peak service periods, the Bar Service Lead actively assists by pouring drinks, restocking, and operating POS systems to maintain continuous and efficient service.

An essential aspect of this leadership role involves training new bar staff on beverage preparation, responsible alcohol service, equipment operation, and stadium protocols. The individual will also handle guest concerns professionally, resolving minor issues and escalating more complex situations to Supervisors or Managers. Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards within bar areas is critical to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Communication is a key element of the position, as the Bar Service Lead must promptly report equipment malfunctions, product shortages, or any operational challenges to leadership. Although this role does not hold formal hiring or disciplinary authority, it plays an important part in providing performance feedback and operational input to Supervisors and Managers.

Candidates should possess strong leadership and communication skills along with a solid knowledge of bartending techniques, drink preparation, and alcohol compliance. The ability to multitask in a high-volume environment, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain professionalism is essential. The role requires candidates to be at least 21 years old, have prior bartending or beverage service experience, and obtain and maintain a valid Indiana alcohol server permit.

Working conditions involve standing and walking for extended periods, frequent bending, lifting up to 30 pounds, and working near bar equipment and refrigeration units, often in warm environments. The job demands flexibility to accommodate evening, weekend, and event-driven schedules in a fast-paced stadium setting with large crowds and elevated noise levels.

This opportunity offers a dynamic and rewarding work environment for individuals passionate about sports and entertainment hospitality, eager to lead and support a dedicated team in delivering outstanding beverage service during exciting stadium events.
