This role, titled Bar Person, Bartender, Bar Server, or Bar Back, plays a crucial part in the overall performance of the bar and beverage operations within the restaurant. Reporting directly to the manager or manager on duty, the bartender collaborates closely with both internal team members and guests to foster an enjoyable and memorable hospitality experience. The position involves a wide range of responsibilities including beverage preparation, maintaining cleanliness, supporting both kitchen and service operations, managing point of sale transactions, and participating in special events. The role demands a high level of service excellence in hospitality, requiring the bartender to have comprehensive knowledge of world alcohol brands and flavors and to consistently deliver beverages with quality and precision. This position supports the financial reporting aspects such as end-of-shift check-outs and assures compliance with all health and safety procedures including food safety standards. The work environment requires physical stamina with duties involving prolonged standing and walking, handling challenging operational demands, and adhering to safety precautions like wearing skid-resistant shoes due to the restaurant's kitchen conditions. Candidates must be prepared for the physical aspects, including the ability to push, shove, and lift up to 50 pounds.

This job description provides an overview of the position's general duties and expectations but is not an exhaustive list.
