The Production Crew at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, particularly the service bartenders, play a vital role as the heartbeat of the theater. This position primarily functions as a back-of-house (BOH) bartender responsible for preparing drinks and beverages according to precise recipes and company specifications. Production Crew members ensure smooth operation by maintaining their stations, managing inventory, performing regular cleaning and equipment maintenance, and supporting food and beverage service with a focus on accuracy, safety, and efficiency. Compensation for the Production Crew at the Austin location ranges from $17.00 to $21.50 per hour, reflecting the organization's competitive pay structure. Employment is offered on a flexible schedule basis, accommodating nights, weekends, and holidays, with a minimum commitment of three days per week including at least one weekend day. The position includes tip sharing, where 20% of tips are allocated to the BOH crew, providing additional earning potential. Job Requirements
- Must meet minimum legal age requirement of 21 years to serve or handle alcohol
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly during entire shift
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays with minimum three days per week including one weekend day
- Ability to move cautiously and operate in busy/loud environment
- Stays up-to-date on local beverage compliance regulations, safety courses, and trainings
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to climb stairs
Job Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in high volume restaurant environment
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen/bar environment
- Demonstrates applicable beverage knowledge including state-required alcohol service training
Job Duties
- Primarily serves as the BOH bartender, preparing guest drink orders according to recipes and specs
- Responsible for cleaning, organization, and general maintenance of all equipment including deep cleaning tasks and daily sidework
- Prepares guest beverage tickets focusing on safety, quality, accuracy, and efficiency
- Restocks supplies as needed, completes prep and side work, assists with operational tasks for efficient service
- Supports the delivery and organization of food and beverage orders as needed
- Upholds standards of behavior defined by company core values and operational guidelines
- Ensures beverage safety and compliance with company and local health standards, including allergy and cross-contamination protocols
- Utilizes proper equipment for beverage preparation such as jiggers, measuring cups, and scales
- Adheres to cleaning, prep, and stocking schedules to control waste and maintain quality
- Communicates service bar needs and concerns with teammates and managers regularly
- Maintains a positive, respectful workplace
- Follows all handwashing and hygiene practices
