The Alamo Drafthouse is not just a cinema; it is a cultural experience hub that integrates film, food, and a welcoming environment designed to engage all senses. The establishment emphasizes a strong commitment to exceptional guest experiences, embedding core values such as doing the right thing, fostering community, boldly going beyond expectations, and giving a sh!t about quality and detail. These principles are central to its operational philosophy and are reflected in every employee's contributions.
The role of the Alamo Production Crew bartender is integral to maintaining this high standard of service and presentation that defines the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. As a member of the service bar team, the primary responsibility is to expertly prepare and serve drinks in line with the company’s precise recipes and specifications, ensuring consistency and quality that meet Alamo’s distinguished standards. This includes implementing appropriate allergen and cross-contamination protocols to guarantee guest safety and satisfaction.
Working in this capacity requires excellent teamwork and communication skills as the production crew supports both front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery that enhances guests’ culinary and entertainment experiences. The role includes restocking supplies, managing bar inventory, assisting with food and beverage order logistics, and maintaining a positive and respectful workplace. The bartender also plays a critical role in upholding the company’s core values by fostering a supportive and respectful work culture and ensuring compliance with all local and company regulations concerning alcohol service and workplace safety.
This position is tip-shared with front-of-house staff, reflecting a collaborative spirit and equitable reward system within the team. The compensation range is competitive, starting from $19.70 to $22.70 per hour, which is complemented by a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, flexible scheduling, and access to medical, dental, and vision plans for both full-time and part-time employees. Other perks include free movies and meals, emphasizing the company’s commitment to creating a fun and inclusive work environment where employees feel valued and engaged. The shift schedules require availability for nights, weekends, and holidays, highlighting the role’s dynamic nature intertwined with the theater’s operational hours.
Joining the Alamo Production Crew means becoming part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering stellar guest experiences within a unique and vibrant setting. Bartenders are expected to bring enthusiasm, reliability, and a proactive attitude that aligns with the company’s mission to ensure every guest and teammate has an awesome experience and is excited to return.
