As a bar porter at MGM Grand, you will be an essential part of a dedicated beverage team working within one of the most vibrant and dynamic settings in hospitality. Your daily responsibilities will include managing inventory, maintaining beverage areas, supporting the smooth set-up and breakdown of bar stations, and assisting in the delivery process within the resort. Job Requirements

  • Work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • six months of food service experience preferred
  • experience in a resort setting preferred
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and handle inventory
  • ability to perform physical tasks involving lifting and standing
  • effective communication skills
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Stock and serve assigned beverage outlets
  • maintain assigned levels of inventory including delivery and stock of glassware, condiments, packaged beverages, paper products, and other necessary items
  • maintain cleanliness of beverage areas including bar equipment, tools, supplies, trash removal, deep cleaning, sanitation, and work area
  • complete required paperwork including bar transfers and dry stock deliveries
  • maintain pars of liquor, beer, and supplies in cooler and dry storage area, order as needed
  • set up and breakdown portable bars in designated areas
  • ensure correct usage of freight elevators and delivery routes
  • organize and maintain beverage pump room areas including products, storage rooms, and warehouses
  • identify non-stock items and alert management
  • resolve guest complaints within scope of authority, refer matters to management as necessary
  • perform other job-related duties as requested
