The Bar Manager role at Oak View Group is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing all bar operations during music festivals. This role commands a vital part in ensuring guests enjoy a seamless, enjoyable experience while maintaining strict compliance with alcohol regulations. The Bar Manager’s responsibilities include managing and supervising bartenders and barbacks, controlling inventory and product levels, monitoring cash and POS systems, and ensuring that all operations run efficiently in a high-paced, energetic festival environment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of bar management or supervisory experience in high-volume settings
  • strong leadership and team management abilities
  • knowledge of alcohol laws and responsible serving guidelines
  • ability to work nights, weekends, and outdoor events
  • proficient with POS systems and cash handling
  • TABC or equivalent alcohol service certification preferred or required
  • physical ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of previous experience as a bar manager or in a supervisory role in high-volume environments such as festivals, stadiums, or large events
  • strong leadership and team management skills

  • ability to work long hours including nights, weekends, and outdoor conditions
  • excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily bar operations during events and ensure smooth, high-volume service
  • hire, train, and supervise bartenders and barbacks
  • ensure compliance with all alcohol laws, ID checks, and company policies
  • manage inventory, ordering, and product levels to prevent shortages
  • monitor cash handling, POS systems, and reconcile sales as needed
  • maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards at all bar locations
  • resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally
  • coordinate with event operations, concessions, and leadership teams
  • ensure all staff deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • assist with the physical setup and breakdown of bar operations, including tents, equipment, and bar structures, and ensure team members understand and support these responsibilities
