Job Requirements

  • Current alcohol service certification
  • Current food safety certification
  • Proven high-volume bar management experience
  • Minimum one year scheduling and labor management experience
  • Strong leadership and team-building ability
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to work in a high-energy, loud environment with live entertainment
  • Availability to work late nights, weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for up to ten hours or more and lift 30 to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform all restaurant/bar employee duties
  • Willingness to comply with company policies and disciplinary standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Capable of handling stressful situations and making sound decisions

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive high-volume bar management experience
  • Passion for bar/restaurant experience with guest focus
  • Outstanding leadership skills to build and maintain effective teams
  • Certification for the responsible service of alcohol
  • Food-safety certification
  • At least 1 year of experience scheduling and managing labor
  • Proficient with MS Word and Excel
  • Knowledge in planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, cost accounting, budgeting, financial planning and strategy
  • Excellent decision-making and communication skills
  • Ability to think like an owner and accept feedback

Job Duties

  • Responsible for hiring, training and retaining the best bar talent in the industry
  • Execute training and development of team members through orientations, ongoing feedback, and performance reviews
  • Enforce policies, procedures and disciplinary actions ensuring legal and company standards are met
  • Ensure safety standards are communicated and followed by all team members each shift
  • Train team members in cleanliness and sanitation practices
  • Lead by example as a role model for great performance
  • Manage overall execution of multiple bars including brand image, guest service, drink recipe adherence, cost controls, and menu recommendations
  • Complete all shift, financial, and personnel/payroll administrative duties accurately and on time
  • Schedule labor according to business needs, ensuring all positions are staffed and labor cost objectives met
  • Control labor cost by scheduling and following up on employee work results
  • Maintain operational standards by implementing policies and procedures, productivity, quality, and service standards
  • Monitor, evaluate, and audit food, beverage, and service offerings to maintain guest satisfaction
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment in compliance with sanitation, health, and legal regulations
  • Ensure consistent preparation and serving of food and beverage according to recipe and portion standards
  • Order products according to specifications and company receiving procedures
  • Control liquor cost and usage following standard requisition, storage, recipe, and waste control procedures
  • Manage staff performance/conduct and brand execution with a high standard of leadership
  • Handle labor scheduling and cost control with strategic planning
  • Uphold sanitation and legal compliance standards
  • Oversee product ordering, delivery, and storage inventory management
  • Maintain guest relationships and service excellence
  • Address employee complaints and enforce disciplinary measures adhering to company standards
