Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 4 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
- OR 2-year degree from accredited university in relevant field
- 2 years experience in related professional area
- knowledge of local, state, and federal liquor laws
- strong managerial and leadership abilities
- effective communication skills
- availability to work full time at Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in food and beverage or culinary fields
- OR 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field with 2 years of experience
- strong knowledge of beverage control and inventory management
- experience in leading and supervising teams
- excellent communication and customer service skills
- ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Manage bar and lounge operations daily
- supervise bar/lounge staff and conduct training on liquor control policies
- ensure compliance with local, state, and federal beverage and liquor laws
- maintain beverage inventories, cost controls, and bar pars
- assist with menu planning and promotional activities
- provide exceptional customer service and address guest feedback and complaints
- support human resource activities including new hire orientation and corrective action plans
