Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in relevant field
  • 2 years experience in related professional area
  • knowledge of local, state, and federal liquor laws
  • strong managerial and leadership abilities
  • effective communication skills
  • availability to work full time at Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in food and beverage or culinary fields
  • OR 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field with 2 years of experience
  • strong knowledge of beverage control and inventory management
  • experience in leading and supervising teams
  • excellent communication and customer service skills
  • ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Manage bar and lounge operations daily
  • supervise bar/lounge staff and conduct training on liquor control policies
  • ensure compliance with local, state, and federal beverage and liquor laws
  • maintain beverage inventories, cost controls, and bar pars
  • assist with menu planning and promotional activities
  • provide exceptional customer service and address guest feedback and complaints
  • support human resource activities including new hire orientation and corrective action plans
