Job Description

Chotto Matte is a renowned Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant group with an international presence, including locations in London, Manchester, Toronto, and San Francisco. The brand is celebrated for creating immersive dining experiences where vibrant culinary creations blend seamlessly with energetic music and atmosphere. Chotto Matte's venues stand out for their unique combination of innovative cuisine and engaging social settings, making them popular destinations for food enthusiasts and nightlife lovers alike. The restaurant group emphasizes high-quality ingredients, creative presentation, and exceptional guest service in a vibrant and dynamic environment.

We are excited to offer the position of Bar Manager at our San Francisco location, a vital role responsible for leading and managing the bar operations within this bustling, high-energy venue. This is a full-time, salaried position with a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have robust experience in managing premium, high-volume bars and demonstrate a hands-on leadership style that motivates and inspires their team.

As Bar Manager, you will oversee every aspect of the bar's day-to-day operations, ensuring the delivery of consistent, high-quality beverages and an unmatched service experience at all times. You'll recruit, train, and develop a talented bartender team passionate about cocktail innovation, wine, and customer engagement. Your leadership will be critical in maintaining a strong, vibrant bar culture focused on knowledge sharing, exceptional service, and continuous team development.

Given the nature of the venue’s busy schedule, the Bar Manager will also need to be comfortable working late nights, especially on Fridays and Saturdays when the venue remains open until 1 am. You will partner closely with senior management and the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service flow, compliance with all licensing and health regulations, and optimal stock and supplier management. Importantly, you will keep the bar's drink menus fresh and exciting, emphasizing seasonal cocktails and select wine offerings, thereby enhancing the overall guest experience.

This role is perfect for a passionate hospitality professional looking to take a leadership role in an innovative, rapidly growing restaurant group. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, excel at team building, and want to bring your cocktail and wine expertise to a venue that values creativity and high service standards, we would love to hear from you.
