The role being offered is a full-time Bar Manager/Service Manager position that plays a critical part in enhancing the guest experience and operational excellence at Smokey Bones. This leadership role requires the candidate to oversee bar and service operations within a full-service restaurant that features a bustling bar environment. Responsibilities include coaching and mentoring team members on delivering exceptional customer experiences, managing schedules, and driving operational standards to ensure the highest quality of service and guest satisfaction. The Bar Manager also collaborates closely with the General Manager and Director, ensuring the facility is well-maintained, safe, and compliant with all regulations. Financial oversight is a key component of the position, as the manager will develop plans to achieve sales targets, monitor inventory levels, and contribute to business growth initiatives.

They must possess strong computer skills for handling POS systems, scheduling tools, and basic financial reporting. Physical ability to stand for extended hours and lift up to 50 pounds is required. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Coach teammates on how to deliver an excellent guest experience
  • coach teammates on how to anticipate, identify, and resolve issues that impact the guest experience
  • coach teammates on how actions impact the guest experience and how results indicate the level of guest service provided
  • positively interact and visit with guests and solicit feedback
  • handle and follow up on guest concerns escalated from the teammate level, escalate to GM and DO as necessary
  • ensure the quality of all restaurant facilities by aligning with the General Manager and Director on priority needs and support repair or maintenance
  • model standards and expected behaviors for restaurant managers and teammates
  • model and teach company values and culture
  • model and train all new menu items and changes in standards
  • write schedules for department staff
  • coach teammates on operational excellence, maintenance, and facilities
  • motivate teammates to improve performance
  • deliver performance feedback and align with General Manager/Director on disciplinary actions
  • develop leadership skills in self and teammates
  • establish and communicate plans to achieve inventory level, sales growth, and guest satisfaction goals
  • review sales and trends and initiate programs to grow sales
  • learn Profit vs Loss statements, forecasting, and scheduling budgets
