Job Description

The Stoneleigh is a historic and distinguished landmark located in the most prestigious part of Uptown Dallas. Currently undergoing a substantial $20 million renovation, it is set to re-emerge as part of Marriott's prestigious Autograph Collection in early Q2 2026. This transformation promises a fresh, luxurious experience marked by expansive rooms, exceptional dining, and a unique ambiance that beautifully blends bold, timeless design with modern luxury. The Stoneleigh is poised to become an iconic destination that captures both the rich heritage of Dallas and contemporary hospitality excellence. The hotel will also be home to an exciting new restaurant venture led by the acclaimed Chef Michael White. Chef White is celebrated for his numerous culinary awards, including the prestigious James Beard Award and five simultaneous Michelin stars, reflecting his profound expertise and innovative approach to cuisine. His new restaurant concepts at The Stoneleigh, named the Lions Den, will open in early March 2026, offering dishes crafted with seasonal ingredients and global inspirations, all woven together with a distinctly Dallas spirit. HEI Hotels and Resorts, the management company behind The Stoneleigh, champions a diverse and inclusive workplace culture, explicitly encouraging candidates of varied backgrounds, including U.S. military veterans, to apply. They strive to welcome individuals who bring passion and commitment to their roles, even if prospective employees do not meet every single stated qualification.

The role at hand involves serving guests in a hospitable manner to ensure a positive guest experience, primarily focusing on beverage service within this luxurious and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting guests warmly, preparing and serving drinks according to HEI Hotels and Resorts' high beverage service standards, and adhering to all applicable State, Federal, and Corporate requirements related to serving alcoholic beverages. This position requires the individual to prepare their station for readiness before opening and closing each shift, follow strict cash handling and bank operating procedures, and perform all assigned side work duties efficiently. Furthermore, attendance and availability to regularly work shifts are essential. The job entails active involvement in the day-to-day operational duties, ensuring seamless service flow and contributing to the high standards that represent The Stoneleigh and HEI Hotels and Resorts brand. While hotel experience is preferred, candidates must demonstrate the ability to work well with associates, customers, and patrons, use point-of-service computer systems effectively, and fully understand state liquor laws. The ability to transport trays weighing up to 30 pounds in potentially crowded areas is essential, along with effective verbal and written communication skills adaptable to diverse audiences ranging from supervisors to the general public. This opportunity offers eligibility for tipped/service charge compensation but does not include a discretionary performance bonus. HEI Hotels and Resorts also provides a comprehensive benefits package to support the physical, mental, and financial wellness of its employees, including medical, dental, vision, and pet insurance options, as well as vacation, sick leave, and holiday programs. Financial benefits include supplemental, spousal and child life insurance, disability plans, 401(k) with matching funds, and various discounts, creating an employee-centered culture focused on well-being and growth.
