Job Description
Caesars Entertainment is a renowned leader in the hospitality and entertainment industry, known for creating extraordinary experiences for guests at their various properties across the United States and worldwide. One of their prominent locations, Harrah's Philadelphia in Chester, Pennsylvania, offers a vibrant and dynamic environment combining gaming, dining, entertainment, and hospitality services that cater to a diverse array of visitors. As part of the Caesars Entertainment family, Harrah's Philadelphia upholds the company’s mission to "Create the Extraordinary" through exceptional service, immersive experiences, and a commitment to their core values of blazing the trail, winning together, and being all-in on service. Caesars is also deeply committed to corporate social responsibility through their People Planet Play initiative, which focuses on economic development, wellbeing of team members and their families, and community contributions.
The Bar Helper position at Harrah's Philadelphia is an essential role aimed at delivering superior customer service and supporting bartenders to ensure a seamless guest experience. This role requires consistent demonstration of positive energy, enthusiasm, and a friendly attitude. The Bar Helper acts as the backbone of bar operations by maintaining cleanliness, replenishing stock, preparing garnishes, and assisting bartenders with service tasks. This position places emphasis on creating a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued and cared for, underscored by frequent eye contact, warm greetings, and effective communication skills. Equally important is the Bar Helper’s role in monitoring guest alcohol consumption to maintain a safe environment and compliance with Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations.
This role demands attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, smoke-filled environment where standing and sitting for prolonged periods are expected. The Bar Helper must be licensed appropriately and possess the ability to collaborate effectively with a team. The role also provides an opportunity to grow within a leading entertainment company that values its employees, invests in their development, and offers a supportive work culture. Through this role, candidates will not only contribute to the operational excellence of Harrah’s bars but also embody the Caesars philosophy of family-style service, fostering genuine relationships among team members and guests alike. The position emphasizes the importance of total rewards program awareness and consistent promotion to guests.
Overall, this role is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, enjoy team-oriented environments, and want to be part of a world-class hospitality company dedicated to providing extraordinary experiences. The commitment to excellent service, attention to safety, and pride in the Caesars brand make this a rewarding career opportunity within the entertainment and hospitality sector.
