Job Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain appropriate licensing with the Alcohol Awareness Card
- Previous bar service experience or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Ability to constantly stand, walk, reach overhead, bend, crouch, kneel, and balance during shift
- Must be able to push, pull, lift or carry 25lbs or less
- Must have repetitive use of both hands with firm grasping and finger dexterity
- Must have constant use of vision including distance, depth perception, field of vision and color vision
- Must be able to communicate in English, both written and oral
- Flexible to work all shifts including nights, holidays and weekends
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Job Qualifications
- Previous bar service experience preferred
- Knowledge of serving alcohol with care and menu products
- Ability to operate glassware washing machine and refill ice and beer bins
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and oral
- Skills in simple reading, math, writing, and task completion
- Clerical, compiling, coordination, analyzing, precision working, following instructions, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making skills
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Job Duties
- Assist bartenders and cocktail staff in performance of their duties
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of bar on a daily basis including before, during and after shift
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of guest areas and equipment at all times during shift including removing empty glasses/bottles, cleaning ashtrays, picking up and dumping garbage, sweeping and mopping floors, and sanitizing equipment
- Recite and promote the variety of menu items and hotel services
- Greet guests in a courteous, friendly manner and conveying hotel activities to guests
- Maintain and organize bars and storerooms including refrigerated units
- Refill chemicals such as hand soap or glass washer chemicals
- Maintain proper inventory of product
- Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position
