Job Requirements
- Ability to perform essential functions satisfactorily
- Ability to obtain required Washington state certifications including Food Handlers and MAST permits
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Experience in managing full-service restaurants with significant annual sales
- Strong self-management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Physical ability to perform job duties including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds
- Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office
- Commitment to maintaining highest professional standards
- Willingness to work collaboratively and take accountability
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum four years of restaurant management experience in a full-service restaurant with over 3 million dollars in annual sales
- Ability to obtain Washington State Food Handlers Certification
- Ability to obtain Washington State MAST/alcohol education certificate
- Ability to obtain Class 12 MAST Permit for alcoholic beverage program management
- Minimum age of 21 years to serve alcoholic beverages
- Knowledge of computerized POS systems and Microsoft Office preferred
- Food safety certification preferred
- Certification in alcohol awareness programs preferred
- Training certification in liquor, wine, and food service preferred
- CPR certification preferred
- Customer service training preferred
- Ability to communicate in a second language preferred
Job Duties
- Maintain knowledge and abide by state liquor regulations including prohibition of service to minors and intoxicated persons
- Ensure all liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections are available
- Know characteristics and descriptions of all wines and champagnes served
- Manage designated glassware and garnishes for drinks
- Understand all menu items including preparation, ingredients, garnishes, and prices
- Ensure opening and closing walk-through procedures meet standards
- Secure all entrances and set alarms
- Enforce food and operational safety policies
- Maintain current food and liquor handling certifications
- Ensure compliance with health department and safety regulations
- Promote and maintain safety and sanitation programs
- Monitor restaurant appearance and maintenance
- Oversee equipment maintenance and vendor coordination
- Manage POS system and train users
- Promote highest quality guest experience
- Support staff during service and ensure break compliance
- Maintain physical atmosphere and cleanliness
- Oversee beverage service and bar program including inventory and staff training
