Job Description
The Humidor Bar is a vibrant part of the hospitality and gaming industry, known for offering guests a unique blend of premium cigar experiences alongside exceptional bar services. Situated within a bustling casino and entertainment complex, the establishment aims to provide an inviting and comfortable atmosphere for patrons to enjoy fine beverages, cigars, and social gatherings. As part of a reputable and customer-focused organization, the Humidor Bar prides itself on maintaining high standards of cleanliness, customer service, and operational efficiency. Working with a dedicated team that values teamwork, professionalism, and compliance with regulatory standards, the Humidor Bar seeks to create memorable experiences for all visitors.
The role of the Humidor Bar Back is crucial in supporting the daily operations of the bar and ensuring a seamless customer experience. This position entails properly stocking and maintaining the bar with all necessary supplies, assisting bartenders by replenishing stock, and keeping the bar and restaurant areas clean and organized. The Bar Back carries the responsibility of setting up the bar for operation, including cutting fruit, stocking ice, and emptying garbage, all of which are vital to maintaining smooth service flow. Additionally, the Bar Back supports bartenders by maintaining par levels, ordering supplies, and delivering orders to assure uninterrupted service during busy periods.
Attention to detail is a key aspect of the position, requiring the Bar Back to polish china, silverware, and glassware daily, perform light dusting and deep cleaning of assigned areas, and sanitize beverage equipment like beer towers and beverage guns according to health department standards. The position also involves maintaining compliance with all departmental policies and local, state, and federal regulations, including those related to the responsible sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages. An essential part of the role is the commitment to guest service excellence, providing outstanding customer and employee service at all times.
The ideal candidate will present themselves with a neat and clean appearance and maintain a current and accurate knowledge of casino events, promotions, and other pertinent information. Given the nature of the gaming environment, the position requires possession of a gaming license and specific certifications such as RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) and IHS (Ignition Interlock Handling System) Certification. This role requires individuals who are 21 years or older and who can operate mobile devices and touchscreen technology efficiently, preferably with familiarity using smartphones and tablet applications. This position is integral to the successful, efficient, and safe operation of the Humidor Bar, making it a vital part of the overall guest experience and operational excellence within the hospitality and gaming sectors.
