Rooted in a culture of service and united by a common purpose, the company empowers its workforce to grow professionally and personally while delivering exceptional service to clients and customers.
Aramark is currently seeking a dedicated Barback to join its team. This role is essential to supporting the bartending staff and ensuring the smooth operation of the bar area. The Barback is responsible for managing inventory, transporting and stocking products, and maintaining a clean and organized bar environment. Key duties include assisting with opening and closing procedures, such as restocking garnishes, straws, and napkins, delivering products, maintaining inventory records with transfer sheets, and ensuring that bartenders have clean towels and glassware readily available. The Barback also takes charge of cleaning and sanitizing workstations, guest service areas, and equipment, ensuring the bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer, and checking that taps and appliances are functioning properly, including changing kegs when necessary.
This position requires a strong focus on guest service and the ability to maintain a positive, courteous demeanor toward guests, clients, and co-workers alike. The Barback adheres strictly to Aramark’s safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation standards, to ensure a safe and hygienic environment. Responsibilities may vary depending on the Aramark location and client needs, and job duties may evolve to meet business demands.
The Barback role is physically demanding, involving constant standing and walking, as well as tasks that may require lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling. It is important for candidates to be flexible with their working hours, including evenings and weekends, and to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Uniform and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage may be required for this role to comply with safety guidelines.
At Aramark, employees are encouraged to develop new skills and take on challenges that make a positive impact both for the company and its customers. The company promotes equal employment opportunities and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender, pregnancy, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, military status, protected veteran status, or other characteristics protected by law.
