The role of Bar Back at Parkside Market in Downtown Disney is an essential support position within Levy's beverage service team. The Bar Back is responsible for supporting bartenders by ensuring that all liquor, beer, wine, and other bar supplies are well-stocked and efficiently replenished throughout the shift. This hands-on role requires daily receipt and management of beverage inventory from the storeroom, as well as delivering items to the bar area to maintain seamless operations. The Bar Back also assists with setting up bottles, ensuring beer taps function correctly, and engaging courteously with guests at the bar. Other responsibilities include running food orders to bar patrons, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar and lounge areas, including washing work tables and floors, clearing rubbish, and bus tables. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
prior experience in food or beverage service preferred
ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods
availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
basic communication skills
ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team
ability to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Receives all liquor, beer and wine from storeroom on a daily basis and as needed
replenishes all liquor, beer and wine as needed in the bar throughout the shift
retrieves all needed food items from kitchen and delivers to bar area
retrieves all needed beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and delivers to bar area
sets up bottles on bar with 'top shelf' liquor on back shelf
ensures beer taps are working properly
able to engage with guests at the bar
responsible for running food to bar guests
places appropriate bar snacks on counter
keeps supplies, such as snacks and napkins, stocked throughout shift
assists in opening and closing side work as assigned
buses tables in bar area
helps ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the bar or lounge areas
washes work tables, walls, refrigerators and floors under equipment
sweeps and mops service areas, including floor mats
ensures rubbish is removed from all receptacles
prepares and serves beverages as needed to assist bartender
performs other duties as assigned
