The Bar Back position at Oak View Group is a vital role within their hospitality team, focused on supporting bartenders during live events by ensuring that bar operations run efficiently and effectively. This role is integral to maintaining the flow of service, ensuring that bartenders can focus on customer interactions and drink preparation without interruptions caused by shortages or operational issues. Scheduled as a part-time hourly position with a pay rate of $11.00 per hour plus tips, the role offers the opportunity to earn additional income through gratuities. The Bar Back is responsible for a variety of tasks essential to the smooth running of bar services during events. Job Requirements

  • valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state and federal regulations

  • ability to calculate basic math functions such as addition subtraction multiplication division percentages as they relate to product inventory
  • experience working in a fast-paced high volume bar capacity is preferred

Job Duties

  • stocking products for the bar including nonalcoholic beverages alcoholic beverages icing wells moving kegs in and out of keg coolers and tapping kegs
  • running supplies for bartenders such as fruit napkins cups utensils and stirrers
  • assuring that the location equipment is operable and clean prior to start of event
  • maintaining cleanliness of bar and surrounding areas utilizing sanitation procedures cleaning and stacking floor mats emptying and relining trash cans and keeping closet areas clear of debris and clutter
  • maintaining clean and orderly conditions especially in high profile areas like the PC Club
  • recognizing guests that are visibly intoxicated and making bartenders aware of such individuals
  • maintaining sanitation health and safety standards in work areas
  • demonstrating excellent attendance
