With over a decade of brewing excellence, Monday Night operates multiple locations including two taprooms in Atlanta, a brewpub in Birmingham, Alabama, and taprooms in Nashville and Knoxville, Tennessee, as well as Charlotte, North Carolina. Known for its commitment to quality and community, Monday Night Brewing has built a reputation for producing a diverse portfolio that ranges from small batch New England IPAs to barrel-aged stouts, approachable kettle sours to mixed culture ambers, and hop-forward West Coast IPAs. This spectrum highlights their mastery across styles and dedication to brewing innovation.
Monday Night Proofing Co., a part of Monday Night Brewing located in Knoxville, Tennessee, is currently seeking a part-time Bar Back to join their dynamic and friendly team. This role is a vital part of the taproom front-of-house operations offering support to ensure that every customer has an exceptional experience. The Bar Back assists with bar duties, cleanliness, and restocking supplies, helping maintain a welcoming and efficient environment. This position is highly physical and requires someone who is detail-oriented, quick to act, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously. The job emphasizes the core values of the company, particularly the importance of fostering relationships over some of the best beer available. Employees in this position report directly to the General Manager and play a critical role in the smooth functioning of the taproom.
The Bar Back will be responsible for ensuring the taproom and its facilities are clean, organized, and properly stocked. This includes duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of glassware, bar equipment, keg coolers, and common areas, as well as assisting with prep work like garnishes and snack items. The role also involves supporting the pizza station during busy periods, monitoring for any taproom issues, and communicating these to management. Exceptional customer service is key, including facilitating the quick and accurate delivery of orders and acting as a liaison between guests and bar staff. Safety and compliance with federal and state alcohol regulations are integral components of the job.
Monday Night Brewing values team players who are self-motivated, problem-solvers, and communicators with a hospitality mindset. The position offers a competitive hourly wage with tip sharing. There is a guaranteed minimum hourly wage to supplement tips when necessary. The environment is demanding, requiring the ability to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and work in various temperature conditions. The company promotes an inclusive workplace culture and is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. Barbacks enjoy access to a suite of benefits and discounts, reflecting Monday Night Brewing's commitment to employee well-being and satisfaction.
