Monday Night Brewing is currently seeking a part-time Bar Back to join their vibrant team at Monday Night Preservation Co. in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is essential to the smooth operation of the taproom and focuses heavily on providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The Bar Back position is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about hospitality, enjoy engaging with guests, and have a keen eye for detail, especially regarding cleanliness and bar maintenance.
Part of the team behind one of the nation’s most beloved craft breweries, the Bar Back will play a vital role by supporting bartenders, managing inventory, and ensuring the taproom operates efficiently from opening to close. Duties also include cleaning glassware and bar equipment, stocking the bar, prepping garnishes and snacks, and performing general cleaning tasks around the taproom including seating areas, patios, restrooms, and even the parking lot. Additionally, this role requires a solid understanding and adherence to all federal and state alcohol regulations, contributing to a safe and compliant environment.

Job Requirements
- Must be 21 or older
- Ability to climb, lift, reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift at least 40 pounds
- Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours in a hot, wet, humid and loud environment
- This position is extremely physical and demanding in nature and involves working with potentially dangerous equipment, machinery, exposure to high noise levels, and handling of hazardous materials
- Must be able to use repetitive motions and work in hot and cold environments
Job Qualifications
- Must be 21+
- Prior craft beer or bartending experience preferred
- Team player that is self-motivated, good problem-solving abilities, and the ability to communicate effectively with fellow coworkers and guests with a hospitality mindset
- Willingness and enthusiasm to learn about beer and share that knowledge with others
- Proactively looking for ways to improve guest experience in a positive way
- Willingness and ability to step in wherever needed
- Flexible work schedule, primarily weekends, some holidays, and evenings
- Ability to work at least 3 weekends a month
- Ability to demonstrate Monday Night values
Job Duties
- Ensure guests have an excellent experience with our products and service expectations from entering to leaving
- Responsible for opening and/or closing checklists for the bar, dining, common areas, and patio
- Cleaning and stocking glassware and bar equipment
- Keep taproom clean and clear of trash
- Safely prep snack items to specification
- Monitor taproom for potential problems and inform manager on duty
- Juice and garnish prep
- Help complete taproom side work and deep cleaning tasks
- General cleaning
- Stock bar with glassware, supplies, alcohol and fresh beer
- Responsible for safe practices at all times and assisting with the cleaning of the taproom including seating areas, restrooms, bar areas, patios, parking lot etc.
