The role of a Barback at Aramark plays an essential part in supporting the bar staff by maintaining inventory, stocking supplies, and ensuring cleanliness and order within the bar area. The Barback assists bartenders by performing various duties including transporting product and stock items, restocking garnishes and supplies, and supporting opening and closing procedures. Job Requirements
- previous food service experience preferred
- availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- capacity to lift, bend, push, and pull as required
- willingness to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment (ppe)
- strong communication skills
- ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines

Job Duties
- assists with opening and closing duties such as restocking the bar with garnishes, straws, and napkins, ensuring that bartenders have clean towels, glassware, etc
- delivers product and uses transfer sheets to maintain inventory integrity
- cleans, sanitizes, and maintains appearance of workstations and guest service areas
- ensures bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer
- checks taps and appliances to ensure that they are working properly and changing out kegs
- keeps the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles
- maintains excellent guest service and a positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc
- adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
- ensures security of company assets
