Job Description
Twin Peaks is a distinctive restaurant chain known for its lodge-inspired atmosphere, exceptional service, and a unique beverage program centered around a high-quality bar experience. As a franchised restaurant brand, each location operates under independent franchisees who manage employment terms, including wages and benefits. This structure allows Twin Peaks to maintain its brand standards while offering localized experiences tailored by each franchise owner. With a focus on delivering a memorable customer experience, Twin Peaks prides itself on its well-trained staff, carefully crafted menus, and an inviting environment that blends rustic charm with modern hospitality.
The Bar Back position at Twin Peaks is integral to the smooth operation of the bar and overall beverage service. This role supports the bartenders – often referred to as the Twin Peaks Girls – by maintaining cleanliness, organizing equipment, and ensuring that the bar is fully stocked and compliant with all health and safety regulations. The bar back is responsible for upholding the high standards of the Twin Peaks bar program, working diligently to maintain a clean, efficient, and well-functioning bar area. Commitment to discipline, pride in appearance, and the ability to work effectively as a team member in a fast-paced environment are core to this role.
Maintaining uniform standards is essential, reflecting the brand’s professional image. The position includes carrying out opening and closing bar duties such as restocking beverages, cleaning, and checking the functionality of equipment like taps and kegs. The Twin Peaks Bar Back must be familiar with and adhere to established policies including sanitation protocols, health and safety mandates, and general operation procedures to ensure a safe and pleasant working and customer environment. Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure are vital, as is completing necessary training and certifications required by local and state regulations, including those related to alcohol service.
This position demands physical stamina and a readiness to engage in regular manual tasks, including lifting up to 30 pounds, standing for extended periods, and navigating a work environment that may expose employees to kitchen fumes, humid conditions, and cleaning chemicals. While Twin Peaks values inclusivity and accommodates employees with disabilities, the physical nature of the bar back role is an important consideration for candidates.
The bar back is not an employee of Twin Restaurant Holding, LP or its subsidiaries, but rather of the specific franchisee operating the restaurant. This means wages and benefits are dependent on the franchise owner’s policies. However, the overall working experience, training, and customer-centric culture remain consistent across Twin Peaks locations. This role provides a great opportunity for those seeking to grow in the hospitality industry, develop skills in beverage service, and be part of a dedicated team focused on quality and guest satisfaction.
