The Barback position is a full-time or part-time hourly role starting at $11.00 per hour plus tips, providing an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in the food and beverage industry. The role is vital in supporting bartenders by handling various tasks such as cleaning, restocking, and maintaining supplies and utensils throughout the bar area. This role requires physical stamina and efficiency, as the barback will be responsible for completing a range of duties to keep the workstations clean and organized, ensuring that bartenders can focus on preparing and serving drinks effectively.

Key responsibilities of the barback include prioritizing and completing assigned station tasks, maintaining sanitation standards by cleaning glassware, utensils, and counters, and promptly addressing spills or broken glass to maintain guest safety. Barbacks are responsible for keeping the bar stocked with essential items such as liquor, beer, wine, juice, garnishes, and glassware. They also must manage supplies like ice and sour mix and be proactive in inventory monitoring to alert management of any low supplies.

This role also involves assisting with setup and breakdown during shifts, maintaining sanitation buckets and towels, and handling waste disposal throughout the venue. The barback must adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols as outlined by company and health regulations, including responsible alcohol service policies. The company encourages ongoing training and development, with management support for barbacks to grow their skills, including assisting in the training of new staff members.

Ideal candidates will have at least one year of experience working as a barback, bar porter, or in a similar role within a high-volume food and beverage environment. Possession of health and food safety permits and an Oklahoma ABLE Liquor License is required. This role requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, walking, and reaching for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally. Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are crucial for success in this position.
