The role offered at Boyd Gaming Corporation is pivotal in maintaining the seamless operation of the bar areas within their entertainment venues. As a Bar Stock Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring that the bars are consistently stocked with all necessary beverages and supplies. The position involves transporting cases of beverages such as beer, liquor, and bottled water from walk-in coolers to the bar, maintaining established stock levels, and preparing written requisitions to restock as needed. This role goes beyond simple stocking duties, incorporating the maintenance of supplies such as ice, glassware, drink garnishes, and fresh fruit to keep the bars well-prepared and inviting. The Bar Stock Attendant also plays a crucial role in cleaning and maintaining all bar areas, ensuring that the environment adheres to the high standards of cleanliness and order that customers expect.

This position requires physical stamina, as it involves lifting and maneuvering kegs of beer, often weighing around 50 pounds, and standing or walking for the duration of shifts. The Bar Stock Attendant must possess excellent customer service skills and a strong ability to communicate effectively with guests, cocktail servers, and bartenders. Responsibilities include receiving and fulfilling beverage orders, preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standardized recipes, and operating cash registers to complete transactions accurately and efficiently. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses or certifications to perform the job legally and safely.

Job Requirements

  • Prior experience in the same or related field preferred
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for duration of shift
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications

Job Duties

  • Maintain established bar stock levels by transporting cases of beer, bottled water, liquor, etc. from walk-in coolers to bar
  • Prepare written requisitions for stock
  • Maintain supplies of ice, glassware, drink garnishes, and keep fresh fruit rotated
  • Clean and maintain all areas of bar
  • Restock kegs of beer in the walk-in coolers
  • Clean reach-in coolers and rotate bottled beer
  • Empty trash bins in bar area and transport to proper refuse bin
  • Receive and fulfill beverage orders from guests, cocktail servers, and bartenders
  • Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard beverage recipes
  • Operate cash registers and accurately complete transactions according to standardized procedures
