The Bar Back is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization behind the bar, managing stock, and ensuring supplies are always available to meet customer demand. This ensures that bartenders can focus on delivering drinks swiftly and accurately while guests enjoy uninterrupted service. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to strict uniform and hygiene standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Bar Backs at Twin Peaks are integral team members who uphold the establishment's reputation by following health and safety protocols, including sanitation and handling of beverage equipment and stock. Additionally, Bar Backs assist with opening and closing bars, including cleaning duties, restocking items, and equipment maintenance such as keg changing and tap checks.The role requires physical stamina as Bar Backs stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in environments with potential exposure to airborne particles, wet conditions, and chemical cleaning substances. This position demands pride in personal presentation, including adherence to the specific uniform code, which promotes a clean and professional appearance suitable for a hospitality setting. Training is mandatory to ensure that Bar Backs are fully prepared to meet operational and regulatory standards before working unsupervised. Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a bar back
- ability to communicate in English
- ability to understand policies and procedures for cleaning and sanitizing
- ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions
- ability to work in a fast paced environment
- ability to work as part of a team
- must attend orientation and complete training
- physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- adherence to strict uniform standards including grooming and dress code
- must be clean shaven or maintain well-groomed facial hair
- no jewelry allowed
- no headphones or earbuds permitted
- adherence to health and safety requirements including sanitation and GHS standards
- strong attention to detail and discipline
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bar Back
- ability to communicate in English
- ability to understand policies and procedures used to clean and sanitize a restaurant
- ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions
- ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
- must attend orientation and agree to policies and procedures as outlined in the Twin Peaks training
- must attend and successfully complete the training program prior to working a shift without supervision
- must successfully attend and complete any and all other required training in compliance with local and state regulations such as food and alcohol service certifications
Job Duties

- assisting with opening and closing duties including restocking the bar with all necessary items, cleaning the bar, mopping
- ensuring the bar is always well stocked
- changing kegs, checking taps, and appliances to confirm they are working and in good repair
