The Bar Assistant position is integral to our operations, supporting the bartenders by ensuring the bar area runs smoothly and efficiently. This role involves various tasks such as maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, preparing garnishes, and assisting with basic maintenance duties. The Bar Assistant should be knowledgeable about menu items and cocktail recipes, demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow within the hospitality industry. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
1-year experience required
Meets state minimum age (18) to serve alcohol
Dependability with reliability and responsibility
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Team player is must
Strong task and time management abilities
Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools
Ability to stand, walk, bend for extended periods, and lift up to 40 lbs
Maintaining composure even in difficult situations

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
1-year experience in a similar role
Knowledge of drink mixing tools and cocktail recipes
Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties

Assisting with opening and closing duties such as restocking the bar with garnishes, straws, and napkins, ensuring bartenders have clean towels and glassware
Ensuring the bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer
Checking taps and appliances to confirm proper working conditions, making minor repairs or changing out kegs as needed
Keeping the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles
Performing bussing responsibilities including clearing empty cups and trash from bar tops and tables
Learning about menu items and memorizing cocktail recipes while assisting the bartender and navigating the POS system
Performing daily and weekly cleaning duties
