We are currently hiring part-time Bar Backs to join our dynamic team on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 am until closing. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about the food and beverage industry and looking to grow their careers in a fast-paced, supportive environment. As a Bar Back at Tillery, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth bar operations by assisting bartenders and supporting the overall guest experience. Your responsibilities will include delivering items from the kitchen and storage areas, maintaining adequate stock levels, and adhering to all liquor liability laws. You will also assist with concessions or bar area tasks such as replenishing condiments, stocking shelves, and maintaining cleanliness. This position demands attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and staying aware of product rotations to minimize waste and control costs.
The Bar Back role requires strong organizational skills, physical stamina to stand for long periods and move heavy items, and the ability to remain composed during busy service times. While this is a part-time position primarily focused on weekend shifts, it provides valuable experience in a professional setting and opportunities for advancement within the hospitality industry. Previous experience in bar backing and food service is essential, and certifications such as ServSafe Alcohol Awareness and Certified Food Handler are preferred. Job Duties
- Deliver items from kitchen, storage rooms, coolers, and freezers
- Adhere to established par stock levels
- Maintain an awareness of rotating product, minimize waste, and be mindful of cost of products
- Must be familiar with all policies related to liquor liability laws
- Assist in concessions or bar area as needed such as filling up condiments, point of purchase displays, stocking shelves, and wiping down services
- Ensure correct temperatures of hot and cold food and beverage products
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance
- Perform any other duties as assigned
