With a diverse portfolio of restaurants, bars, and venues, the group creates inclusive and engaging environments for both guests and employees. The company values team leadership, career development, and a strong connection to the culture and city of Baltimore, providing a workplace where employees can grow professionally and personally while contributing to a respected regional brand.
The Bar Assistant role is an essential part of the bar operations team. This position focuses on supporting bartenders by ensuring the bar is clean, well-stocked, and fully operational throughout service periods. The Bar Assistant helps maintain the flow of service by preparing garnishes, replenishing supplies such as napkins, straws, and glassware, and performing cleaning duties to uphold high standards of hygiene and organization. The role requires attentiveness, knowledge of the bar’s menu items including cocktail recipes, and strong interpersonal skills to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Bar Assistants also assist with opening and closing procedures such as stocking liquor, beer, wine, and ice, checking taps and appliances, and performing bussing tasks like clearing glasses and cleaning surfaces. They contribute directly to the overall guest experience by enabling bartenders to focus on service and ensuring the bar area runs smoothly and efficiently.
This position offers competitive compensation that varies depending on location, including hourly wages plus tips in states like Maryland, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Texas, or hourly wages in Delaware. Full-time employees working 30 or more hours are eligible for comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance; 401k contributions; company-paid life and AD&D insurance; learning and development programs; advancement opportunities; and even pet insurance. Part-time employees receive benefits such as 401k contributions, company-paid life and AD&D insurance, and access to development programs and discounts at Atlas properties. Working at Atlas means more than just earning a paycheck; the company fosters career growth, offers regular interaction with senior management, and prioritizes a supportive work environment for every team member.
