The role of Barback at Tommy's Tavern + Tap is pivotal to the smooth operation of our bar service. A Barback works closely behind the scenes to support bartenders by ensuring the bar is well-stocked, clean, and organized at all times. This position demands a proactive attitude, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency. As a Barback, you will assist with a variety of tasks including restocking liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and bar tools throughout your shift. Maintaining the cleanliness of bar mats, sinks, storage areas, and trash removal is essential to keeping the bar sanitary and guest-ready.

You also play a crucial role during peak hours by supporting bartenders with prep and service responsibilities, helping with keg changes, and managing deliveries. Effective communication with bartenders, servers, and management ensures the entire bar team works in harmony to deliver the best service possible. Following all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines is mandatory to uphold our high standards of hospitality and guest safety. Training sessions prior to active floor shifts are designed to prepare you thoroughly for your responsibilities, enabling you to grow your skills and excel within the team.
