The role of Bar Assist at Politan Row is a crucial support position within the bar operations team. Job Requirements

Must be the minimum age to serve alcohol
Ability to walk stand and carry heavy trays
A passion for providing guests with high-quality service
Some knowledge of cocktails beer wine and food
Strong problem solving communication and interpersonal skills ability to handle tense situations with coworkers and customers calmly and rationally
Ability to meet physical and scheduling demands of the position including walking standing or lifting heavy items for extended periods and working nights weekends and holidays
Compliance with all local state and federal liquor laws

Job Duties

Handle multiple tasks in an efficient manner
Clean and clear tables
Assist with opening and closing duties such as preparing ingredients and restocking items
Pursue knowledge of all food and beverages offered on-site
Check identification to ensure guests are the proper age to purchase alcoholic beverages
Stand with walk with and carry heavy trays of food and drinks
Ensure the bar is well-stocked with ice liquor wine beer and all other items necessary for service
Check taps and appliances to confirm that they are working properly making minor repairs or changing out kegs as needed
Keep the bar clean by wiping down surfaces sweeping and mopping removing soiled glassware scrubbing coolers and storage areas and emptying trash receptacles
Actively learn menu items cocktail recipes and production techniques
Maintain records and report levels of usage to assist in the reordering process and ensuring that delivered items are stored properly
