Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Greet members and guests by name whenever possible and be attentive to their needs
  • Exhibit and maintain a professional and upbeat demeanor to reflect a positive and welcoming image of Boca Woods Country Club
  • Perform inventory processes including requisitions, receiving, moving and stocking product in accordance with FIFO
  • Inspect bar prior to opening to ensure adequate supplies are available
  • Maintain proper inventory levels of bar stock and requisition liquor, beer, wine, mixers, glassware, ice, and bar snacks
  • Properly open and pour wine at the table
  • Restock and clean according to instructions, including side work for opening and closing of the restaurant
  • Stock appropriate glassware for all shifts and notify Lead Bartender of any shortages
  • Keep glassware polished and clean
  • Prepare garnishes, mix and pre-mixed drinks
  • Maintain knowledge of common mixed drinks, recipes, liquors and wines
  • Measure drinks according to club's policy
  • Flexibility to work in all areas of Food and Beverage where needed, including bartending fine dining and special events
  • Mix, prepare and serve drinks to members and guests and drinks ordered by food and beverage servers according to approved recipes
  • Ring up checks for drinks served and present accurate receipts to members and guests
  • Maintain and clean bar area, counter tops and equipment, adhering to sanitation procedures
  • Report member and guest complaints to a manager promptly
  • Follow all laws and club policies regarding alcoholic beverage service and inform manager if continued service is in question
  • Serve drinks to members and guests seated at lounge tables in the absence of a server
  • Practice beverage and revenue control procedures continually
  • Communicate with members, coworkers, vendors, and guests professionally and courteously
  • Operate, maintain and clean the cappuccino and espresso machine
  • Keep bar lounge neat and organized including tables, barstools and chairs
  • Verify daily freshness of juices and bar trays
  • Maintain full knowledge of menus and daily specials
  • Keep silverware roll-ups at the bar for members/guests dining at the bar
  • Maintain records of liquors, beers and wines to ensure stock is maintained
  • Maintain daily inventory and record demand trends
  • Perform bar opening and closing duties including side work
  • Attend staff meetings and pre-shift meetings as required
  • Report to work as scheduled in uniform and ready to work
  • Perform other duties assigned by Lead Bartender, Food & Beverage Manager, and Director
