Job Description

Located at 4410 W Century Blvd, Inglewood, CA, this IHOP property is committed to delivering exceptional service and quality food to its guests. As part of the global IHOP family, this restaurant enjoys a high reputation for hospitality, welcoming a diverse clientele including families, professionals, and local residents looking for a warm and inviting place to enjoy meals throughout the day. The brand prides itself on its vibrant and inclusive work environment where team members are valued and empowered to provide outstanding guest experiences. This IHOP location embraces innovation while maintaining its signature comfort food menu and community-focused approach to dining.

The roles available include Service Crew members with specialties in Bar Sales, Bar service, and Expediting (Expo). These positions are crucial in creating memorable and positive dining experiences by ensuring prompt, friendly, and efficient service for all guests. The Service Crew members at the Bar Sales station are responsible for welcoming guests promptly at the POS station, guiding them through the order process, and engaging with each guest through the affiliated Steps of Service. They provide menu knowledge, offer upsells, accurately operate the POS system, and manage both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink orders with precision. Their role extends to supporting follow-up guest needs such as phone orders, delivery, and online pickup, ensuring every guest feels appreciated and invited to return.

Bar service crew members are skilled in making essential drinks and may be required to have advanced traditional bartending skills as needed by the business. This role includes rapidly and accurately making bar drinks, educating guests about bar menu options, and providing attentive service to bar-seated guests, including upselling appetizers and managing tabs safely. Bar staff also oversee inventory management and maintain a lively atmosphere in the dining area through proactive engagement with guests.

The Expeditor, or Expo, is a role that often overlaps with managers but may be undertaken by certified service crew members. This position focuses on ensuring meals are prepared accurately and to IHOP’s high standards of portion, plating, and quality. The Expo facilitates smooth communication between the front of house and kitchen staff, manages ticket times, and actively assists with guest service by performing table touches and addressing needs promptly. Maintaining food safety and a positive attitude are key components of this role.

IHOP offers a dynamic work setting where individuals passionate about hospitality and food service can thrive and grow their careers. These roles are integral to the guest experience and require individuals who are attentive, courteous, and efficient. Joining this IHOP means becoming part of a team dedicated to excellence, teamwork, and creating enjoyable dining moments for every visitor.
