The hotel is currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join its dynamic food and beverage team. This full-time Bartender position plays a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience by preparing and serving beverages in a fast, efficient, and friendly manner aligned with the hotel’s service standards. The role demands proficiency in mixing classic and specialty cocktails, recommending appropriate wines, beers, and spirits, and upselling menu items while attending to guests’ special requests and dietary needs. The Bartender must maintain a clean, organized bar environment, manage cash transactions accurately, and follow strict safety and health regulations. The successful candidate will bring excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, a strong knowledge of drink preparation, and a passion for providing excellent customer service in a professional hotel setting.

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment that includes maintaining bar inventory, opening and closing the bar according to procedures, and handling guest concerns with tact and professionalism. Candidates must be prepared to stand and move about for extended periods, and demonstrate the ability to multitask efficiently while adhering to safety and sanitation guidelines. Flexibility to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays is necessary to support hotel operations. Job Requirements

  • minimum two years bartending experience
  • ability to perform basic math calculations
  • ability to learn and operate POS and phone systems
  • must be at least 21 years old
  • require completion of TIPS alcohol training and obtain a valid food handler card within 30 days of employment
  • must maintain a clean and professional appearance
  • ability to work varying schedules including holidays weekends and alternate shifts

Job Qualifications

  • strong knowledge of food and beverage preparation service standards guest relations and etiquette
  • extensive knowledge of wine beer spirits and beverage preparation
  • ability to interact professionally with guests and maintain confidentiality
  • completion of required training as scheduled

  • strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • ability to read and interpret safety rules operating instructions and procedure manuals
  • must be able to speak read write and understand English
  • ability to work varying schedules including holidays weekends and alternate shifts

  • knowledge of applicable health standards and alcohol service regulations

Job Duties

  • prepare beverages according to standard recipes ensuring proper portion control
  • provide guests with a fun energetic and professional dining experience
  • set up and maintain the bar daily including requisitioning and stocking all beverages mixers garnishes condiments and glassware
  • open and close the bar following established procedures
  • describe and recommend wines beers and spirits
  • upsell food and beverage items and accommodate special requests and dietary needs
  • accurately handle cash credit card and room charge transactions
  • balance the bank and calculate tip-outs each shift
  • follow all food-handling sanitation TIPS and health department guidelines
  • wear required non-slip oil-resistant shoes and follow all safety policies
  • use PPE as required report safety concerns and comply with HAZMAT procedures and MSDS documentation
  • maintain reliable and punctual attendance
