We are currently seeking a Full-Time Year-Round Banquets Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This critical role involves supervising and inspiring a team of culinary professionals in the preparation and presentation of banquet dishes that exceed guest expectations. The Sous Chef will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and service while fostering a positive and efficient kitchen atmosphere. Ideal candidates will bring a blend of culinary expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for delivering innovative and authentic dining experiences.

The Sous Chef will take on the responsibility of creating and executing menus, ensuring food safety and sanitation compliance, and coordinating culinary operations during special events and banquets. Job Requirements

  • Fulfill performance standards for the position
  • comply with policies rules and procedures of the hotel including those in the employee handbook
  • ability to follow supervisory instructions
  • willingness to perform additional duties as requested by supervisors or managers

Job Qualifications

  • Flexibility with work days and hours
  • three years of culinary training or related kitchen experience
  • one year of supervisory experience
  • quality knowledge of food safety sanitation food products and food service equipment
  • excellent interpersonal skills and a people-oriented approach

Job Duties

  • Supervise performance attendance attitudes appearance and conduct of the culinary team
  • enjoy working in a fast pace environment while utilizing safe food preparation practices
  • communicate effectively with all sorts of interesting people
  • cultivate an authentic food experience for our guests by bringing your creativity to the creation of distinctive dishes
  • bring the recipes you read to life by accurately reading and following the instructions
