The opportunity at Renaissance Milwaukee West is for the role of Part-Time Banquets Set-Up Houseperson. This role is essential to the hotel’s events and hospitality team, particularly focusing on the setup, maintenance, and organization of banquet and event spaces. As a Banquets Set-Up Houseperson, you will play a key supporting role in delivering exceptional guest experiences during events. Your duties will directly impact the seamless execution of events by preparing event spaces according to the detailed event orders, which may include room layouts, staging, and seating arrangements. This position requires physical strength and dexterity as it involves transporting heavy materials such as tables, chairs, staging platforms, and assembling temporary structures like dance floors or podiums.
Collaboration and attention to detail are critical components of this role. You will assist with audio-visual equipment as needed and ensure service areas and storage spaces remain clean, safe, and well-organized. After events conclude, resetting the spaces to their original conditions is a vital responsibility. Associate teamwork is encouraged, and the position offers opportunities to assist servers during events, providing a well-rounded and engaging work experience.
The role is designed as a part-time position, typically scheduled for 10 to 20 hours per week, with flexibility required as schedules vary based on hotel event bookings.
