The On-Call Banquets Server position at Grand Hyatt Seattle is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and guest service. This role is integral to the Banquets team and involves assisting the Banquet Leadership Team in preparing and executing various event functions hosted at the hotel. Servers are expected to present menu offerings professionally and execute food and beverage service with attention to detail and courtesy. This is an hourly, commissioned position with a pay range starting at $17.13 per hour, which can increase to $17.47 per hour for colleagues who have maintained part-time or full-time status for four years or more. The role is not eligible for overtime pay but includes additional compensation through automatic service charges applied to banquet food and beverage functions, where a significant portion of the service charge is distributed among the banquet service team, including servers and captains. This compensation structure rewards team members for their contributions to successful event service delivery.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in event or banquet service preferred
- good communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- physical stamina to stand and carry loads for extended periods
- ability to provide excellent customer service
- must be able to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
