The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about events and guest service and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. They are a hands-on leader who coaches and develops their team, fostering a culture aligned with Aparium’s values. Strong organizational skills, a commitment to collaboration, and accountability are paramount. Moreover, the Banquets Manager must possess excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and internal departments, ensuring every event detail is meticulously managed.
This position demands a robust knowledge of banquet and catering operations, with the ability to manage staffing, inventory, and the upkeep of banquet spaces. The manager also plays a pivotal role in recruitment, training, and motivating staff while addressing any performance issues constructively. A solid grasp of labor management, service standards, facility maintenance, merchandising, and accounting principles is essential, as is proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant systems. Certifications such as TIPS (Alcohol Awareness) and ServSafe Food Handler are required and must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Physical requirements include the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and move items up to 50 pounds, and work in various environments, including temperature extremes and a dog-friendly workspace.
