In line with the hotel’s mission to provide Legendary Service every day, the role of Banquets Lead Bartender is vital in maintaining the high standards of hospitality guests expect. The Banquets Lead Bartender will play a central role in overseeing all banquet bar operations, ensuring that the beverage service is of the highest quality, polished, and aligned with the hotel's brand standards. This leadership position requires an individual who embodies the heart and soul of Fort Worth’s Stockyards, someone passionate about delivering meaningful experiences to guests and colleagues while supporting the community.
The Lead Bartender serves not only as a manager of bar operations during events but also as a mentor and trainer for bartending staff. Responsibilities include managing beverage inventory, ensuring responsible alcohol service, maintaining compliance with health and safety standards, and providing on-floor leadership. The role demands a professional who is as comfortable behind the bar crafting signature cocktails as they are conducting beverage education sessions for the team to enhance service confidence and product knowledge.
Furthermore, the Banquets Lead Bartender will collaborate with management to develop and update training guides and beverage menus featuring signature cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic options that reflect the hotel’s unique brand identity. When bar coverage is not needed, the Lead Bartender will contribute as a Banquet Server or Captain, working seamlessly with other staff to ensure smooth event execution. This position requires a flexible schedule to support evening, weekend, and holiday events, and a commitment to upholding the safety, cleanliness, and organization of all bar areas.

Job Requirements
- Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Flexible schedule - must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Minimum of two (2) years of bartending experience
- Demonstrated leadership, training, and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully
- Ability to obtain Food Handlers and TABC Certification

Job Qualifications

- Previous lead bartender or supervisory experience preferred
- Prior hotel or banquet environment experience preferred
- Strong multitasking, time management, and problem-solving skills preferred
- Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills preferred
Job Duties
- Assist with beverage inventory management, ordering, and cost control
- Establish and maintain approved par levels for all beverage items to support operational efficiency and cost control
- Ensure all bar storage, prep, and service areas are clean, organized, and compliant with hotel and health department standards
- Properly clean, maintain, and store all portable bars and bar equipment
- Train new and existing bartenders on brand standards, bar policies, beverage preparation, and guest service expectations
- Coach and mentor bartenders to promote consistency, efficiency, and professional growth
- Reinforce responsible alcohol service and safety procedures in accordance with TABC requirements
