Known for its large-scale conference facilities and exceptional guest experiences, the hotel caters to both leisure and business travelers, offering a distinctive blend of warmth, comfort, and sophistication. As a leader in the hospitality industry, Gaylord Rockies prides itself on delivering impeccable service through a team of dedicated professionals who uphold the highest standards of quality and customer care.
This job opportunity is for a full-time, non-management position within the Food and Beverage & Culinary department, located at 6700 N Gaylord Rockies Blvd, Aurora, Colorado. The role is hourly paid at $21.63 per hour and is tip eligible, providing an additional earning potential. This position is essential in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency of the hotel's food and beverage service areas, ensuring a memorable experience for guests.
The primary responsibilities of this role include completing the final breakdown of the function by cleaning the room and properly storing equipment, performing closing tasks such as storing reusable merchandise, locking doors, classifying merchandise, organizing and replenishing work areas, and maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards across assigned service areas. The role requires transporting dirty linens for washing, separating napkins from tablecloths, and restocking shelves with clean linens. Continuous cleaning throughout the day ensures a high standard of presentation and safety.
In addition to the cleaning and organizational duties, the position supports other departments to guarantee optimal service to guests, enforces company safety policies by reporting maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, and completing required safety training and certifications. The role also demands a professional appearance and demeanor, protection of company property, and maintaining the privacy of sensitive information.
Physically, the job involves lifting, moving, and transporting objects weighing less than 50 pounds independently and assisting with heavier objects up to 75 pounds. The ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods, perform fine motor tasks, reach overhead and below the knees, bend, twist, and navigate varied surfaces and staircases is required. Effective communication skills in a clear and professional manner, both face-to-face and over the phone, are critical.
Gaylord Rockies fosters an inclusive and diverse workplace environment, promoting equal opportunity and celebrating the unique backgrounds and talents of all employees. The company commits to non-discrimination based on disability, veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics. Joining Gaylord means becoming part of a global team where your work is valued, and your career path is supported.
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED, with no prior experience or supervisory experience necessary. This role is ideal for those seeking to join a respected hospitality brand offering a supportive team, opportunities for personal and professional growth, and a rewarding work environment where quality and guest satisfaction are paramount.
