Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in banquet or hospitality roles preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina for lifting, standing and moving supplies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions and respond to supervisory guidance
- Commitment to safety and cleanliness standards
- Team player attitude with willingness to assist other departments
- Availability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in banquet or hospitality services preferred
- Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions and floor plans
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks and stand for extended periods

- Familiarity with banquet equipment and proper handling procedures
- Willingness to cross-train in related positions

Job Duties
- Practice, support and promote Graton Resort & Casino's core values and exemplary service standards at all times
- Be thoroughly familiar with the location of all function rooms and pre-function areas and the various workable setups
- Correctly and efficiently set up and break down banquet functions
- Read and follow BEO instructions and floorplans precisely
- Set ballroom seating for large concerts according to production floor plans
- Oversee multiple functions and flip rooms as needed
- Communicate cross-departmentally with kitchen, banquet management and stewarding teams
- Practice safe handling, care and storage of banquet equipment and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of function rooms, aisle rooms and storage areas
- Empty trash receptacles and replace with clean ones
- Set up hot boxes and prepare plates for the kitchen
- Return equipment to proper storage in good condition before shift end
- Check electrical hookups and secure cables
- Service and freshen meeting rooms during breaks including adjusting lights and temperature
- Organize back aisle and assist banquet servers and bussers
- Plan, order and inventory supplies and beverages for events
- Assist with pre-function preparation including pulling items for meal services
- Ensure proper closing procedures including cleaning and organizing linen, silver, and props
- Cross train in other banquet and restaurant positions
- Work with Banquet Manager to execute all confirmed events
- Perform other assigned responsibilities
