This position is for a non-management, full-time Food and Beverage role based at Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld. The role focuses primarily on serving as a Banquet Event Coordinator/Host(ess), wherein the individual will be responsible for ensuring seamless operations during banquet functions and events. This involves establishing relations with group coordinators or hosts prior to events, verifying event details such as guest information, layout, timeline, and special requests, and ensuring that the banquet event order is adhered to with high accuracy and professionalism. The candidate will engage directly with guests, providing warmth and personalized service to enhance their experience, while also supporting the team and following all company policies and regulatory safety standards.
The role requires a proactive, detailed-oriented individual who can anticipate guest needs and address any special arrangements or issues that arise during events. They must maintain the hotel's high standards of appearance and conduct, promoting a professional, safe, and confidential work environment. Physical demands include standing or moving throughout the event space for extended periods and handling items weighing up to 25 pounds. Job Duties
- Meet group coordinator or host(ess) prior to functions to make introductions and ensure all arrangements are agreeable
- Read and analyze banquet event orders to gather guest information and determine proper setup and timeline
- Respond to and fulfill any special banquet event arrangements
- Follow up on special banquet event arrangements to ensure compliance
- Follow all company and safety policies and procedures and report accidents or unsafe conditions
- Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards and anticipate and address guests' service needs
- Support team to reach common goals and ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
