Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for its commitment to exceptional service, diverse workforce, and innovative approach to creating memorable guest experiences. Among its prestigious brands, Renaissance Hotels stand out for their unique ability to immerse guests in the culture and vibrancy of the neighborhoods they visit. Operating as a full-service hotel, Renaissance Hotels blend local charm with the luxury and comfort that Marriott is synonymous with, making them a favorite choice for both business and leisure travelers.
Located at 611 Commerce St, Nashville, Tennessee, Renaissance Hotels seeks to expand its dedicated team with a Full-Time, Non-Management Food and Beverage position. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of service and guest satisfaction that Marriott prides itself on. With a competitive pay rate of $14.00 per hour plus eligibility for tips and service charge compensation, this position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and food service to thrive within a leading global brand.
The Food and Beverage team member will play a key role in the seamless execution of banquet events, working closely with coordinators and hosts to ensure every detail is perfectly arranged. Responsibilities include meeting with event hosts prior to reception, reviewing banquet orders to gather guest information, determining event organization and timeline, and addressing specific guest needs related to buffets and food stations. Meticulous attention to banquet preparations and follow-up on special requests are crucial to ensure exceptional guest experiences. The role also requires compliance with all company safety policies and training, maintaining a professional appearance, and supporting team cohesion and goals.
Beyond event-specific duties, this role demands a physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting or moving objects up to 25 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods, and maneuvering in tight or elevated spaces. Communication skills are key, including clear and professional verbal interaction with guests and colleagues, as well as proper telephone etiquette. This position aligns with Renaissance Hotels' spirit of exploration and discovery, welcoming guests with the warmth and personality that reflect the local culture and Marriott's high standards.
Marriott International is committed to equal opportunity employment, fostering an inclusive work environment where diversity is celebrated and all associates are valued regardless of disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristics. By joining Renaissance Hotels, employees become part of a global team dedicated to delivering unparalleled service and enriching their personal and professional growth. This is a unique chance to be part of a dynamic hospitality brand that encourages employees to be their best selves while contributing to memorable guest journeys and unforgettable experiences.
