This collaborative environment fosters a culture of respect, inclusion, and innovation, making Sodexo a desirable employer for professionals seeking opportunities to grow and make meaningful contributions.

The Banquet Supervisor role at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center is a full-time position with a competitive pay range of $24 to $26 per hour. This position is crucial in overseeing banquet and catered event operations and serves as the on-site leadership above the Banquet Captain level. The Banquet Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of Banquet Captains and Servers, ensuring that all events are executed flawlessly in line with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), service standards, and client expectations.

The role requires managing the operational readiness of event setups, overseeing staffing levels, executing service delivery, and resolving any issues that arise during events. These events can range from intimate meetings to large-scale functions accommodating hundreds of guests and featuring a variety of service styles such as receptions, buffets, plated meals, and multi-course dining experiences. The Banquet Supervisor actively participates in all aspects of the event, including preparation, setup, service, breakdown, and cleanup, maintaining the highest standards of safety, sanitation, and guest satisfaction.

Candidates in this role need to demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills, particularly in fast-paced environments. Physical stamina is essential as the role requires frequent lifting and moving of items up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The position offers varying shifts with open availability preferred to meet the dynamic needs of the event schedule. Sodexo provides a flexible and supportive work environment that values the well-being of its employees and promotes career advancement through ongoing training and development opportunities. In addition to competitive pay, candidates can expect a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, 401k, employee discount programs, and more.

By joining Sodexo as a Banquet Supervisor, you become part of a global company dedicated to creating a better everyday for its employees and clients alike.
